Nylon dog collars are one of the most popular types of collars on the market today. They come in a variety of colors and patterns and are readily available at just about every pet store you will visit. People prefer these collars for a number of reasons.

Nylon collars are cheaper than their leather counterparts which make them appealing to a wider audience. Even personalized nylon dog collars are still reasonably price.

If you like to change your dog’s collar on a regular basis, whether it is to match the seasons or an upcoming holiday, nylon collars make it price effective to do so.

If you have a pet that likes to swim or play in the water, a personalized nylon dog collar would be a great option for him or her. Nylon dries much quicker than other collar material such as leather and it is washable so you can remove the smell of pond from it if necessary.

Different Types Of Personalized Nylon Dog Collars Available

Your standard nylon collar is going to be an adjustable style collar. You can personalize a nylon adjustable dog collar pretty easily by simply using a needle and thread to embroider them. One thing to look out for when picking an adjustable nylon collar is how the ends fasten together. These collars are traditionally made with a plastic style buckle. It is becoming more popular these days to see the buckle made out of metal which is stronger than the traditional plastic buckle.

Other nylon dog collars include reflective strips which make these a great option for those of us who like to run with their dogs. You can create a personalized reflective dog collar that helps to protect your dog while you are out for a run and at the same time you are making the collar unique to you and your dog’s personalities.

Another great way to personalize a nylon dog collar for your pet is to add lights to the collar. Many lighted nylon dog collars are available that serve a similar function as those of the reflective nylon collars. These collars with built in lights can be seen up to a mile away. Some styles of lighted collars have patterns in them that light up as well like a star or shamrock.

The traditional choke collar is available in standard chain as well nylon and is typically referred to as a soft choke. You can personalize a nylon choke dog collar in similar ways to a standard adjustable nylon collar. Add your pets name or create fun patterns in the nylon.

Finding The Best Dog Shock Collars

When training your dog, you only want the best training tools. You only want the best tasting treats so that your dog really looks forward to training time, and doing well; you only want the best dog shock collars and anything else you may be using to train your dog.

How can you be sure you’re getting the best dog shock collars, however? They may all look alike but not all dog shock collars are made the same way and not all are of the same quality. The best case scenario would be that you could actually test for the best dog shock collar by using them on your wrists but most stores won’t let you take the collars out of their packaging and this is especially difficult if you’re shopping online.

You can find the best dog shock collar, however, by reading dog shock collar reviews, by reading training books which may recommend a certain type or brand, and even by asking professional trainers or the staff at the pet store. By only buying the best dog shock collar available, you know you’re training your dog correctly. If you don’t get the best dog shock collar, your training may take longer or you may risk harming your dog physically or mentally. If the dog shock collar is too strong, which might be the case with a low quality product, the dog may become frightened and this could cause psychological damage, not to mention the damage to its skin from a high electrical charge.

Go Online

Do a search for the best dog shock collars and try to get around all the sites promoting their own products. Try to find sites that compare different brands together to help the average consumer find the best dog shock collar on the market. These consumer report websites are sometimes disguised as non-biased sites when they actually elaborate advertisements for the product that wins as the best dog shock collar, or whatever else the website is promoting. Be wary of these types of sites and try to find sites that are non-biased where the same brand doesn’t always win in every category.

There are many brands of dog shock collars out there and one person’s opinion on which one is the best dog shock collar may be different than another’s. However, as long as the shock is only uncomfortable to the dog, as long as the shock the collar emits stops the unfavorable behavior and as long as it won’t break or malfunction after average use, then that just may be the best dog shock collar to use on your dog.

Happy training and remember to use lots of love in addition to the negative reinforcement dished out by the dog shock collar.

Do you Know How to Find a Good Priced Dog Training Collar?

Is it worth to invest in your dog’s training?

Some people are willing to invest a lot of money and time.

It is perfectly okay to buy very expensive dog collars if you prefer doing so. There are a lot of choices for you. Collars range anywhere from fancy fashion dog collars, studded collars to a wide variety of others. Most owners do not like to spend the extra money on dog training collars and therefore choose to use one that will be more practical and meet the basic requirements.

If you have a dog with a lot of energy or is highly curious you can find it stressful to train them, as you learn to deal with all his behavior patterns.

If you find that after investing in your dogs training the results you get are not what you looking for, then you should look at ways to begin cutting down on additional costs. One good example is the dog training collar.

For many owners it does not make much sense if the dog does not respond well to training to buy accessories, especially when the dog has begun nibbling on the corners of the dog collar. It is important to realize that the behavior of the dog and teaching them to respond to training is the main thing to focus on and not the collar, or any other accessories.

Even though dog collars are instrumental in getting better control and correcting unwanted dog behaviors, expensive collars can quickly effect your budget. This is the reason why many owners resort to buying cheap dog training collars as good alternatives, without having to sacrifice the function of the item, or adding an unnecessary financial burden.

When shopping for the right collar you should also check its durability and functionality before you even begin to look at the price. Don’t get caught up in the mind set that if you pay more for a collar, that it is a good indication to determine it’s functionality.

However, cost can be a good way to determine if your looking at the right collar but it should not be the sole influence on your final decision. For example, an excellent collar could give the best value at its lowest possible price. However, since it is tagged with a low price the buyer might immediately conclude that it does not perform well.

Don’t give into the mind set that pricing equals quality. People may think that the more money they spend will automatically mean that they are getting a better quality training collar for their dog. This usually happens but it is not always the case. You should do some research to find the best bargains available.

If your collar is integrated with advanced technologies will obviously be more expensive. The popular electronic dog collar is a good example. The price of this collar runs anywhere from $100 to $999 depending on the types of features installed in the item. You can expect a lot higher prices when more advanced technologies are used in making the collar.

Since dog collars can cost hundreds of dollars many people find it impractical to spend that much money on it, because it is a training accessory. With a little research you can find the type of collar you want and in the price range your willing to spend.

I do not want to pay their outrageous prices. Is their a knock-off company that has a collar compatible with the SD2000 system?

RULE NUMBER 1 for ALL e-collars:

If you're going to buy one - CHEAPER should never be in your vocabulary.

You DO NOT want a knock off when it comes to a shock collar. The last thing on earth you want is a cheap collar that ruins your dog because it malfunctions.

That said, I think Innotek is complete garbage. I have about $500 worth of innotek junk in a drawer - all it's good for is "dummy" collars.

I recommend a good Dogtra system, but whatever you do - LEAVE "CHEAP" at the door!!

I've never seen a poodle, lab, or collie with a spiked collar, but I see lots of Pits with them. Pit Bull owners are quick to defend what nice dogs they are, but it makes me wonder what the rationale behind the spiked collar is. Is it the owner trying to increase the dangerous look of his/her pet, or does the pet get in a lot of fights and need neck protection? Either way, either the dog or the owner - or both - are psycho.

So, what's with the spiked collars?

Guys with small you-know-what's (as well as insecure people) get pit bulls, so of course they're trying to make them look as tough as possible to cover up their own insecurity. It's the same theory as big trucks
